Please provide one or two sentences that describe your business*
At EDICEO International we provide a non-conventional and exotic version of greetings to individuals and corporate bodies, as emotional therapy products. We dispense emotional healing through celebrities and public figures, our prices are designed for inclusiveness.

Who is your customer and what is the primary use for your product?*
Obviously, we have both individual (B2C) and corporate (B2B) consumers.  For the individuals (B2C), the majority of our target customers are youngsters in Nigeria within the age bracket of 16 to 25. This market segment contains an estimated population of 80,000,000 people. We seek to take a market share of 1% (800,000 customers) annually. Ace Greetings is an anti-suicide therapy. Ace Greetings is useful for emotional therapy, this is the primary use. It creates a stronger connection for our customers to their favourite celebrities, role models, and public figures. It boosts the self-esteem of our customers. For the corporate bodies (B2C), we are targeting up to 500 of them in Nigeria, and for them the primary use is that it increases sense of belonging among employees as it boosts employees self-esteem and confidence leading to high workplace productivity. Consequently, the corporate bodies will have improved productivity and high profit statistics.

How many people need your solution and how will you reach them?
From our research findings, an estimated population of 80,000,000 people need Ace Greetings. However, since we are just at the idea stage seeking pilot this project as a novel solution, we will harness our efforts to take a market share of 1%  (800,000 customers) annually. We shall be using the infrastructure for mobile communications including sms, whatsapp, telegram and Ace Greetings App to reach our customers. We have initiated processes for establishing official collaborations with the Big 4 telecommunication companies in Nigeria (MTN Nigeria, Globacom, Airtel Nigeria and Etisalat).  These organizations have the best infrastructure for implementing Ace Greetings.  We are working on establishing a working relationship with these telecoms companies who have a total estimated number of 160,000,000 local subscribers on the networks collectively. We shall be using their infrastructure for implementing, marketing and delivery of Ace Greetings. We also have an alternative plan to deploy our own infrastructure peradventure we are not satisfied with these telecoms companies.

How would you describe success in this business or project?
For this project, we have made the definition of success simple. As soon as we reach 1,000,000 (One Million) subscribers, we have succeeded. This is because having 1,000,000 subscribers on our platform implies that we can directly influence 1,000,000 people, and help them to overcome suicide tendencies and incidences. We provide anti-suicide and emotional therapies through Ace Greetings. We can help 1,000,000 people to prevent suicide-related deaths, and low self-esteem problems. Definitely, this will not come on a platter of gold. For us to achieve our goal of 1,000,000 subscribers, we already have a great team in place, and we need to get the funding, partnerships, and infrastructure in place as well. We are making gradual progress with respect to partnerships, collaboration and infrastructure and we believe that good funding will follow naturally.

What is your competitive advantage and why do you think you can win?
With respect to competitive advantage, we are creating a stronger connection between our customers and their favourite celebrities, role models, and public figures. This is a novel idea in Nigeria. This shall be done through robo calls, live calls, live chats, Cities Flunch, and SHOW Cities. We are convinced that we can win because failure is not our goal and we are not focusing on it. Failure is cheap and available everywhere., but we need something that can change lives. Failure is not our motivation, why should we go for it? Failure makes no difference. Making all the attempts that we have so far made shows that we are determined to leave the zone of failure. We are focusing on success. We are focusing on winning, and we believe that it is the big hit for us. Secondly, we understand our product, we understand the need , and we understand the market. Besides, Ace Greetings aligns with 3 clear Sustainable Development Goals: Good Health and Well-being (SDG3), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG8), and Life on Land (SDG15). We are following clearly established blueprints to achieve our goals. There is no way for losses and failure in this project. We can win and we shall win. We are ready to remodel if need be, but to failure we say NO.

Please share any major achievements, awards, metrics or key performance indicators to date (such as major customers, number of users, etc.)?
Our team (Team Ace) participated in the campus-wide Hult Prize competition in December 2019 and Ace Greetings was selected as the best idea with high prospects for growth and scale. We are at the pilot stage and we have no paying customers yet.

Hospitals Can Go To Hell

Seriously, I am not a comedian like Basketmouth, I Go Dye or Bovi, but everyone needs to know this truth once and for all. Hospitals can go to hell. Marvels, what do you mean? You ask?  Yes, I can say it again: hospitals can go to hell. The data and facts available are overwhelming. We need hospitals no more. Have you heard about Project PINK BLUE? Oho-o! There you are. Project PINK BLUE is a Health/Psychological Trust Centre. The centre fights cancer head-on, through cancer awareness campaigns, cancer treatment support, professional education, research, provision of free cancer screenings and fundraising for cancer patients. (Smiles) I was not surprised to know that Runcie Chidebe (a 35-year old Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneur) is the one behind the wheels of this great initiative. Runcie spoke during the 2019 TEF Entrepreneurs Meetup in Abuja, Nigeria. No doubt, he has some amazing feats to his credit, and that made his insights credible. I wished I could...

Time Management Matrix

Time is an invaluable business resource. As a matter of fact, time happens to be one of the most important resources that will determine your success as an entrepreneur. Your attitude to time will determine whether you will evolve into an outstanding brand or become a normal brand with low to average performance in business.

African Changemakers Ghana

I am a Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneur and I wish to support others to succeed in entrepreneurship. If you call it mentorship it is fine. I will rather call it leadership. We need leaders who can show innocent and young citizens how to succeed with little to zero damages. The role of leadership/mentoring could be compared to the role of the plantain shade to young cocoa seedlings. Without the shade of the plantain cocoa seedlings will die without fulfilling their mandates.
